I feel for the young man deeply because it seems he lost EVERYTHING over an over zealous bank teller. I can't wait to here the outcome of this situation

Man Goes To Jail for Cashing Chase Check at Chase Bank
Not only would I be P.I.S.S.E.D! I would be suing the HELL out of this bank! Really? You can't tell the difference from your OWN checks? Whoever this person was needed to be FIRED with a capital F! I feel for the young man deeply because it seems he lost EVERYTHING over an over zealous bank teller. I can't wait to here the outcome of this situation

That is just flat-out ridiculous! I worked as a bank teller in high school and college. Not only can a bank recognize it's own check from the MICR ink(the magnetic ink on the bottom of the check) but it should never be a problem to verify the withdrawl of the check from the bank's account. All you have to do is look up the check number in the database and see who it was issued to and the amount. I did it a million times.
The fact that they left a VOICEMAIL at a police department instead of calling the station and speaking to someone directly just proves their idiocy. Who does that? If I'm ever sitting in jail for five days (it could happen) and you have info that will get me out, please do not leave a message at the beep, okay? Call f*cking 911 if you need to in order to get me out. I'd do the same for you. Thanks.
